Despite the fact that the idea of the separation of church and state exists nowhere within the U.S. Constitution, the social and political southpaws among us are the first to insist upon it in all aspects of society. Yet when it suits their goals, these same people are the first to use Scripture to try and justify their rampant social engineering – something President Obama has so horrendously demonstrated this past week.
In the same week that his Administration mandated abortifacients upon the Catholic Church and silenced Catholic military chaplains from dissenting with such a mandate, our President had the nerve to appear at the National Prayer Breakfast in Washington and insist that the reason behind everything that he and his Administration were doing was to follow the dictates of Scripture. He and his Administration are sorely in need of an education in this regard.
The Jesus whose name and nature President Obama so flippantly uses to push his Marxist, Darwinian and Freudian agenda is God (John 1:1). As God, Jesus claimed to be Jehovah (John 8:58) and is absolutely consistent with the nature of Jehovah in every way (Hebrews 1:3). As Jehovah, it may therefore rightly be said that Jesus is both the Lawgiver of Exodus 20:2 and the One Who instituted the very idea of human government in Genesis 9:6, where government was instituted in order to protect the image of God in humanity. Protecting the image of God is therefore something that can only be done when government is consistent with the nature of God itself, and the President’s view of government is atrociously inconsistent with the nature of God.
Murder is wrong and inconsistent with the nature of God (Exodus 20:13), yet the Obama Administration insists that it is an undeniable human right to murder every human being while still in the womb (see Luke 1:39-44). Homosexuality is wrong and inconsistent with the nature of God (Leviticus 18:22; 20:13; Romans 1:26,27; 1 Corinthians 6:9), yet the Obama Administration would enshrine it as a human right and as the epitome of decent human conduct. Theft is wrong and inconsistent with the nature of God (Exodus 20:15), yet the Obama Administration legitimizes theft through the forced redistribution of personal wealth.
There are many more examples of this, of course, but these three should suffice to make the point, which is that the ideals of the Obama Administration are diametrically opposed to the principles of Scripture and the nature of God. The President and his Administration can no more legitimately quote or reference Scripture to further their dark ends than I can legitimately reference Darwin to advance the glorious truth of Creation. When people hijack good things toward nefarious ends, we call it terrorism. What the Obama Administration does with the Word of God is therefore properly described as Scriptural terrorism, and all who understand Scripture are duty-bound to call the Administration and the President out on this, for it must end.
We can’t judge someone’s heart, but we can (and must) judge what people say and teach by comparing it with the final arbiter of Truth and Lie, which is the Word of God (Acts 17:11). When we do this with the stated goals and principles of President Obama, we find that he is dangerously lacking in this regard, and that his true colors are now showing too obviously to be denied. I welcome the Catholic bishops to the table of Biblical dissent, but it is sad that such men have been so long and slow in getting here. They should have long ago realized that the thieving ideology of the forced redistribution of wealth is inconsistent with Scripture and the nature of God, and will always lead to a Hellish destination.
We must pray for our President and his Administration, but we must not be beguiled by them. It is time for all Judeo-Christian clergy to hold fast the line of Scriptural integrity, for we are its guardians and heralds. It must be hijacked only at the price of our lives.
This speaks to the heart of our problems in today’s society. More people need to hear this. More people need to understand this. The heart of america is being put to the test and unless we repent there’s only more pain on the horizon.
